As a buyer, what’s the main benefit that Bharto International can offer me?

With Bharto International, you’re gaining an experienced intermediary. It’s often difficult, if not impossible, for foreign buyers to engage in meaningful conversations with Chinese manufacturers about the products they’re trying to order. Usually, buyers are simply provided with a basic spec document often written in Chinese that the buyer has to translate for themselves.

Our team of bilingual professionals has years of experience dealing with Chinese manufacturers and buyers from the US and Europe. We remove any difficulties and uncertainties from the buying process.

Can you guarantee quality?

When dealing with foreign clients, Chinese manufacturers often make commitments they know they can’t keep in order to attract business. With the quality of goods likely to change during the order process, cross-border business with Chinese companies can often be frustrating. Without a buying agent, clients have to rely on the manufacturer to do quality control which, needless to say, usually benefits the manufacturer.

At Bharto, we provide independent quality control to give you the peace of mind that your order will be fulfilled to the terms agreed.

Can you improve pricing structures?

It’s standard practice for Chinese manufacturers to employ two different pricing methods. Foreign buyers are charged ‘foreign prices’, while domestic buyers receive more favorable pricing options.

With Bharto having a Chinese professional buyer as one of its partners, this two-tier pricing system is eliminated.

Further to this, it’s commonplace for Chinese manufacturers to quote one price at the outset, only to significantly increase that price once the buyer is committed. This process of ‘pushing boundaries’ (or ‘seeing what they can get away with’ — whichever terminology you prefer) is part of the terrain when dealing with most manufacturers in China.

At Bharto, we negotiate the best price for our clients and make sure the manufacturer adheres to an agreed price for a set amount of time.

Can you guarantee shipping times?

On traditional sourcing sites, shipping is standardized, offering a client very few options. As a result, many clients choose to arrange their own shipping through a third-party logistics provider which is often costly to arrange in terms of time and effort. In addition to this, manufacturers have a habit of agreeing to ship on a certain date, only to announce a delay once the agreed date nears in order to profit from cheaper, later delivery options.

Bharto can manage all logistics and ensure that agreed delivery dates are adhered to.

Do you offer payment security?

If a buyer places an order through Alibaba, Jing, Global Sources, etc., payments are normally processed through the websites via PayPal. These sites charge a commission, processing, and withdrawal fee that is usually passed on to the customer. If a buyer deals directly with the manufacturer, they will have to pay via bank transfer which entails its own uncertainties (Did they get the money? Are they trustworthy? What if they claim they didn’t receive it? etc.)

At Bharto, we use Stripe to collect payments in USD, which then clear in Hong Kong. These payments are made to the supplier in USD, free of any exchange or major fees, therefore allowing the manufacturer to offer a cheaper price.

Can damaged goods be returned?

It is often expensive and difficult to do cross-border returns in China, with most manufacturers not offering returns as a service. As a result, the risk of damaged goods falls entirely on the client.

With BI managing your order process, we ensure a strict quality control process that mitigates the risk of poor quality or discrepancies in product. However, if the client receives any damaged goods though the shipping process, we are certain to assist with returns to the manufacturer.

Do you offer after-sales service?

Absolutely. Normally, the only time you will hear from a Chinese manufacturer is when they want you to make another purchase. At Bharto, we’re here to help you in any way that we can.

Do you manage multiple manufacturers?

When dealing with large orders, not all manufacturers can supply every product. As a result, it’s normal for Bharto to handle multiple manufacturers simultaneously. This helps you considerably as a buyer, as the problems you may encounter when dealing with a single manufacturer are only compounded when trying to orchestrate production and shipping from a number of different sources.

Do you offer product advice?

It’s one of our areas of expertise. With Chinese agents having limited product knowledge, it’s often difficult for them to fully understand a client’s needs. Manufacturers expect buyers to know exactly what they want at the outset and simply expect them to buy.

How long does shipping take?

Shipping times vary depending on the channel and size of shipment. Bharto will offer the client multiple shipping options (Air freight/ Sea freight) that ensures the client’s needs are met.

Are the shipping and customs clearance service optional?

Yes, if you prefer to handle the shipping and customs yourself or through a specified forwarder, we can gladly assist with the product sourcing and local freight as you wish.
